Becoming The Bell Of The Ball!

As I begin my preparations for my night out, I have a lot to do. My outfit and hair sorted down to a T, giving Victoria Beckham a run for her money! There is just one slight thing that is causing a bit of stress.....make-up!
I am usually quite good at my make-up skills but a little bit of help is always useful. There is just one place where us 21st century teenagers go (and something we couldn't live without) and that is the internet.
As I type in "Naked 2 Smokey Eyes" into YouTube, a huge amount of videos appear. The only hard part is to choose which one you prefer!
YouTube is a hugely helpful resource which can help you with almost everything. Who knew THAT just one single website could help you with both how to do your make-up AND listen to your favourite songs. That's the glory of technology I suppose!
This is one of my favourite videos, with easy-to-follow steps. If you want to be the "bell of the ball", I'd recommend this to all!

Shop 'Til You Drop!

As I finished watching the film "Confessions Of A Shopaholic", one thing and one thing only came into my mind....I WANT TO LIVE IN NEW YORK!
The idea of the city that never sleeps, sends thrills to my body. To be constantly thrown into the world of lights, celebrities and shops...what a world it would be.
To wake up with a purse full of money and shop from dusk til dawn, I would surely be in my element. Of course I would give a wave to the Statue Of  Liberty(wearing my brand new clothes of course), and have a picnic in Central Park. I cant forget about showing my true colours and attending a Baseball game (even if the rules to me are like straightening curly hair, the two just wont click), I would enjoy myself.
Maybe the idea of actually living in New York and being on the go 24_7, wouldn't have the same reaction to my sleeping patterns as I wish. A holiday would do me just as well and would also save me a LOT of money.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

The year has come to a close again which means that Christmas is sadly over. No more "waiting for Santa", turning on the tree lights or wrapping presents anymore. However, statistics have proven that Christmas is the busiest time for recycled goods....but how can that be?
As we open our presents on Christmas morning (some earlier than others), we remove all the packaging from our gifts. This packaging has to go somewhere and so to the green bin it goes! As a result there tends to be an overflow in the last collection of the year.
I come from a family with two brothers, who tend to be quiet lazy. When the cardboard milk cartons are empty, they like to leave it in the fridge shelf. Therefore, I usually end up going out to the bin in either hail, rain or snow to put the cardboard in the recycling bin. I feel that it costs nothing to recycle so why not do it. It benefits us all even if it's just a toilet roll!

Nervous Is An Understatement!

The countdown has begun. It is now only 27 hours until showtime. That means that in 26 and a half hours I will be freaking out...BIG TIME!!!
The fashion show begins at 8pm tomorrow night. According to Mrs.Leonard, the fashion show is going to be our main selling place to sell our Mini Company product. The idea of selling a product that we made with our blood, sweat and tears is terrifying!
8pm is also the time that the start of my modelling career commences. Okay, maybe I wont become a model, but who knows, it could be the start of something new?
As you can see my blood pressure is sky high at the moment. Having to model AND sell our products is daunting. I can't wait to wake up on Wednesday morning and say "I did it". This statement doesn't stay with me for too long because I have to do it all again that night!

Model? Yes, That's Me!

Last Thursday I got the exciting news that yes I would be performing in the fashion show as a model. I filled with delight as my friends got accepted too. We are surely going to give Victoria Secrets a run for their money!
I have always been interested in fashion and make-up from a young age. Saturdays nights were spent watching how my sister applied her make-up and copying her the day after. Although the first times were never too successful, second and third attempts always seemed more promising.
The saying "Passion For Fashion" applies to some people but it is definitely right up my street! I eat, sleep and dream clothes and just love to shop. It has become quiet an obsession but hey, it's what I enjoy.
My sister has told me I should start taking pictures of my outfits and start blogging about them. At this time I wouldn't have the confidence but who knows what might happen in the future? Maybe I will soon become the next So.Sue.Me (Irelands leading fashion and beauty blogger)

How To Save A Life-The Fray

During the summer I sat in my room wondering what interesting hobby I could take up. Seeing that T.Y was going to leave me with a lot of free time I wanted something fun, fascinating, maybe even exciting. One thing that came to mind was to learn how to save a life.
In September, I became a member of the life-safety class in K-Leisure, Naas. You learn everything from performing C.P.R., to towing people in the water with ropes. Warning! Compression's on mannequins are a lot more difficult than they seem.
I recommend this class to all as its a great way to meet new people-boys included! It is also a great life skill to have. Nobody can tell the future so who knows who could need your life-safety skills next?
